Rudeness and being outspoken.

Being outspoken is considered as being confident and secure but when a person crosses the thin line between outspoken and rude… situation gets worst.

Personally I don’t consider myself being outspoken and definitely not rude… but in life one needs to speak up or even shout just to get a message across… true but there is something that we call Ethics that we need to abide to avoid rudeness.

I’ve been to many meetings before… some are collaborative and some are just informative, whatever type of meetings there is… a person needs to learn the basic rules of ethics to be outspoken. In personal experiences or situation we people tend to forget ethics and that makes us rude.

Here’s a story where I base my blog today. I have a 3 yr old nephew who we teach or at least try to teach Honesty. First it was working fine, then we couldn’t imagine the words that came out of his mouth… then I begin to wonder in the adult world this is bad… very bad. Hence my blog, today how can a person be outspoken and avoid being categorized as rude? And the answer I knew all along… It’s Ethics.

Teaching ethics to a growing child… some say easy and for some it’s challenging but for me I say it’s rewarding. Because being a parent or a guardian you failed at being one if you miss out the topic of ethics to your kid. Teaching ethics to an adult… Now that’s a disaster waiting to happen. Not totally impossible but it’s a hard climb.

Now remember people… Ethics is the key, to almost everything!!!
