Singapore perfumes.

I recently found out about Singapore original perfumes… They call it Singapore originals since I think it is illegal to fake things in Singapore or so they say.

Anyway, Singapore perfumes are cheaper and affordable but compared to the US made perfumes Singapore originals have 30% less oil than the US made… in other words US made perfumes last longer than Singapore made. Talking about lasting power, I saw a lot of Singapore made perfumes being sold here in our country which is priced the same as the US made ones and that makes me wonder…

US made perfumes costs around 3 to 5 thousand pesos and Singapore perfumes cost around 1 to 2 thousand pesos if you’re buying originals. But some folks are selling Singapore perfumes at 3 to 4 thousand and claims that it’s US made and that’s what saddened me.

There is only one word for it… it’s called PANLOLOKO!!! Let’s admit it in times of crisis some takes advantage of people’s weaknesses… even in vanity.

To set the records straight… Singapore perfumes are perfumes that were made at a fraction of the cost of the US counterpart that’s why it’s cheaper. It is not FAKE but weaker than the US originals. I remember one episode of Ellen where Mariah is endorsing her perfume and she said that the ones sold in the expensive bottles where concentrated and the ones on the sprayer bottles (the usual perfume bottles we see) are sold cheaper because it is not as concentrated than the first one but is basically the same. Same oils, same ingredients and same manufacturer.

Now going back to my point of discussion, I usually preferred US made perfumes been using it for years now and I don’t plan on buying the imitations that smelled almost the same as the originals but Singapore made perfumes made me think twice… same scent at a fraction of the cost, Not bad.

Now since I already mentioned imitations let me discus briefly what counterfeit means… These are the perfumes sold at our local market (Divisoria e.g.) and are priced at 2 hundred pesos at the most. These perfumes originated in Hongkong, China and Bangkok where they place scents inside a perfume bottle that looks like the original, these scents are made to smell the same by using low class scented oils mixed to smell like the originals.

Now it’s up to you to decide whether to buy US made perfumes or Singapore made perfumes or you could go with the imitations or the fake ones.
US MADE – 3 to 5 thousand pesos (concentrated, last longer 2 to 3 days in cold weather)
SINGAPORE MADE – 1 to 2 thousand pesos (30% less oil than the US MADE and last for a day)
IMITATIONS – 500 pesos (made to smell like the original with different name, last for 3 to 4 hours)
COUNTERFEITS - 200 to 1000 pesos (imitations placed inside a bottle that looks like the original using the same name as the originals)

Now think about it.
