X-mas @ San Jose

twas my 2nd time at San Jose but last Xmas was the first time I spent 3 days at Cucci's province (where all his relatives are located... when I say all I mean all).

My first was not that memorable, my friends and I went to Baguio and after our vacation I went to N.E. to have lunch at Cucci's parents house and meet some of his relatives. I met his other relatives here at manila every time they come to visit or to attend to some things... and this is how I get to know his family. But last Christmas I will be spending time with him at his Family's reunion and although I know a lot of his relatives already I was a bit nervous.

The trip started Dec 23... I thought that we will have a hard time commuting but it was a breeze... the bus is comfy and the trip was not boring... well I enjoy traveling a lot and the bus ride was just perfect. We arrived at around 2 pm and we started with Lunch with his immediate family, then we went out to the store to buy food for Noche Buena and there we happen to bumped into his cousins and agreed to a pre-reunion celebration at Cucci's house.

Dec 24... Christmas eve... I spent the entire day playing with his nephews and chatting with his sister and mom, His dad did most of the cooking and his sister and I just busied ourselves with the decorations and other stuff while his Kuya is setting up the front yard. 

Night time.... as time goes by I was used to being around them already I was comfortable and I was chatting and laughing with everyone. they had a program set up and it was a blast Cucci's family color that day is green while the other family have their own color schemes (see pictures- coming up).Twas a day of fun and laughter a day where I had the chance to meet his entire family.

Aftermath... Dec 25 - this is supposedly our free day, after church and after a trip or two at the town his cousins started coming in by batch. a day that's supposedly chat free ended up in a post reunion / after x mas party and we started early... the food started arriving from Cucci's Aunt's,beer being delivered every 10 minutes until all of his relatives have their preferred brand of liquor... I settled for Coke and the left over Punch that his sister mixed last night. and we ended the gathering at around midnight...

Dec 26 ... this is the day where I quietly sit at the dinning table chatting with his mom and some of his Aunt's... talking about the crazy stuff we did last night the stories... all the albums I saw... their Life stories and chatting about almost everything. Cucci woke up late that time after all the beer who wouldn't and around this time his cousins arrived one by one and the chatting continues...

Overall... It was fun in a getting to know you conversation type of interrogation.

My Family usually celebrates Christmas quietly although I still prefer to celebrate it that way, it was a breath of fresh air for me to experience X mas with Cucci's Family... I enjoyed every second of it. Twas fun but if your going to ask me about spending x mas of 2010 there... I will say Yes without battling an eyelash.
