I told my mom that were going to have a company outing at 8WAVES... being the ingetera that she is.... HEHEHEHE JOKE LANG PO she wanted to go there right away to check the place out.

Since this is not my blog section, I will just focus on my review... CHOS

Anyway, Sykes held its annual summer party here two years ago and unfortunately I wasn't able to attend the activity, I heard a lot of bad comments about the party and to be honest I was glad that I have a shift that day... but now the inevitable thing happened we will have a system building here I couldn't help but wonder... whats with this theme park!!!

Its a good thing that my mom urge us to go there since I haven't been there my perception of the place is somehow clouded by the comments of others. I thought it would be great to experience it firsthand.

First I went online to check up on the place... they have a lot to offer according to them... they have a hotel, parking, and amenities that other resort couldn't offer. hmmm I wonder are these all true? The day has finally arrived... we were on the way to our first 8 waves experience.

The entrance... Seems gloomy at first but the attendants are pleasing and accommodating, we were treated fairly since some groups are larger in numbers, The line going inside the park is short and fast.

The resort... You cant bring food and beverages inside aside from water... we have a toddler with us so they allowed our gallons and gallons of mineral water inside. the resort have 5 pools to offer, the wave pool which is definitely much bigger than 9 waves, a safari pool an average size swimming pool with two slides at each side... a lap pool, a bubble pool ad the noah's ark pool for kids... the wave pool which is the main attraction really held its reputation. the waves are much bigger and wilder and the pool can accommodate a lot s in a lot.the safari pool was a total disappointment the pool i small and the slides are not that high... but for kids like my brothers they enjoyed the slides so let take tat into consideration... we spent most of our time at the lap pool and the bubble pool because our cottage is beside this pool. this is where our pictures are mostly taken. the pool is ok the water is cold not like the water at the wave pool its really refreshing... the water is not that deep about 5 feet so kids in float-able devices can still swim. th bubble pool lays besides the lap pool... its 3 to 4 feet deep with bubbles all over... because the pool needs to accommodate a large number of swimmers the bubbles looks kulang I believe they intended this pool to be a big jacuzzi of some sort and they failed in doing that. the noah's ark pool is located at th other side of the resort and we didn't bother to swim there cause it doesn't have a roof to shade th kids from th scourging sun. its 2 feet deep with a playground boat at the middle...

The amenities... If you want to stay overnight there is a hotel beside the resort... affordable yes but you can use the pool until 10 pm only... too bad not good for adults who wanted to stay out at night and enjoy till the wee hours of the morning.

REVIEW:
Since you cant bring any food inside all you need is available inside the resort a gift shop where in you can buy your swim wear... a restaurant where in you can buy your lunch or dinner and the prizes ranges from 50 pesos for a burger and a soda to 200 pesos for a full meal of rice and ulam... there are stalls situated inside where you can buy snacks such as hot dogs ice cream and popcorn's... and two videoke machine inside the park where you can sing your hearts out.

I really don't have any violent reactions about this but their market is the average people, the entrance fee cost 250 pesos a person and a person will need an average of 500 pesos inside the park to eat and drink a total of 750 pesos not including th cottage. although there are free umbrella's located beside each pool and lockers are available on a first come first serve basis it is much safer if you have your own place where in you can put your things and forget about it. we decided to rent a cottage good for ten with a padlock for security for 600 pesos. so a group of 10 will need around 7500 pesos plus 600 pesos to enjoy 8 waves.

Expensive? for some yes... this is family theme park, and this budget is really hard on the breadwinners pockets... hehehehe but na lang I went with my mom and cuchi paid for the entrance... and I just bought cokes and chichiria for the kids. and Sam my sister shouldered the gas for the van. back to the review expensive yes but we filipinos will find a way right... the park doesn't condemns eating at the parking lot... so their patrons can bring home cook meals and all they need to do is eat it outside... practical YES YES YES but a bit too high on effort... a family got to do to survive.

PRO: because there's a restaurant inside the park one can enjoy a clean cottage without ever wondering if ants is swarming their belongings.

CONS: ANTS IS LOCATED AT THE PARKING LOT WHERE DROPLETS OF ADOBO AND SPAGHETTI ARE EVEY WHERE...

Moral lesson: LOCKED YOUR CARS
