Dog lovers? Family lover?

The world is full of judgemental peeps... always branding themselves as makabayan.... makababae... pro gay... and such but today I wont touch any of those so called brands and just stick to one branding... the "dog lovers".

I never said I was a dog lover but I truly love and adore my dogs to the point that i treat them as my kids... just trying to be realistic here. I am gay and the thought of me having my own children is bleak and almost non existent. Well adoption is an option but not in the near future... creating one the old fashion way is out of the question... and for the other scientific options... im not that rich yet. So i turned to dogs... those loyal loving cute bastards.

Mom has this natural soft spot for house pets... cats and dogs are a regular mainstay in their house. Noticed i didnt say dog lover lol... because my mom is not.

Joined a couple of groups when I got my first dog, and I noticed them bashing people who doesnt like a breed. explaining that dog lovers are people who love dogs no matter what breed it is... which made me wonder...

I dont love all dogs, yes there i said it... I find other dogs rowdy and not cute. I even gave up my moms last dog to be rehomed because we are already having a hard time with him but that doesnt mean we dont love him... yes it did broke my heart but its for everyones sake.

So a question to all dog lovers... you said that dogs are like humans too so loving ur dogs is the same as loving a person right? Does it break your heart to see people in cages the same way others choose to cage their dogs? In choosing your partner do you just love anyone that comes your way and marry them? I guess the answer is no... am I right?

Lets be practical... we pick our life partners the same way we pick our dogs... we check out their breeds and see if they somehow fit in our small lives. We check their family... then we test the waters... the dating stage... then if you somehow ended up marrying each other the only thing that you cant pick or choose are your children right... but you dont see or hear me saying that you are not a HUMAN LOVER.

Same with my dogs... we went through the dating stage... I studied their breeds and check if I am a good fit for their lifestyle and when i found the perfect dog I commit to loving him/her to the best of my abilities... if ever my dog family will grow its their choice and not mine.

So dont lecture me about loving dogs when you cant say it straight to my face that you dont have someone you didnt like.

Yes i accept the fact that i am not a dog lover nor a human lover... but if you will brand me... i rather be a family lover. Dogs cats humans as long as they are inside my family circle...I love them and fight till my last breath.

Lets stop the branding... we love our dogs... and just stop it right there.
