TRAFFIC ONCE AGAIN!!!

Im not connected to any goverment agency nor in any way divulge myself in politics (well i try to). I also dont know how they prepare for any international events held on any country thus I AM NOT AN EXPERT.

But heres my thoughts:

This happend before... so i thought we just learned from past mistakes. The Pope Visit and the APEC summit are the two recent events that i can remember.

Yes we need to secure the delegates... I think subic os much secured than manila... they can flee by land air and water.

Hotels... theres a lot in subic too...

I guess the americans already know how to defend themselves there... its their old base afterall.

Why held it in a place where theres a lot who will be affected.

Ok yes it was a holiday... but do private companies follow that? If im somewhere on the top of the company decision mking board... i rather pay holiday OT pay than lose 3 days of no work during the busiest time of the year.

Dont get me wrong... not blaming it all to the goverment but if we were able to solve our traffic problems way way before this event... by all means use manila... i dont mind spending a few additional minutes on a public transportation during those days. But we all know that we spend 3 hours the least on a normal day so why do we need to spend a few additional HOURS on the road on a holiday.

Well... bottom line my point is, preparation is the key yes its still tom and by all means if this was a success I will invite the delegates for a couple of days more... enjoy our country. Maybe its still too soon to comment but what we have experience during the weekdays is most likely what we will experience during the summit (just my assumptions) but i still hope not.

P.S.

Im not an expert and if I need to repeat that to reiterate my point why not... but here is another thought to ponder... if they were able to put up those mispelled tarps without noticing the errors how can we be sure the city is really ready for this.

Hehe just my one cent...
