Chicken Kare-Kare



Its my first time to cook Chicken Kare-Kare, I know I haven't perfected cooking Kare-Kare yet but I saw most of the ingredients in the kitchen and I said to myself... "Why Not".

Ingredients

Chicken - adobo cut
oil
onions/ginger/garlic
atsuete
pechay
Sitaw
peanut butter lots of peanut butter
knorr Chicken Cube
fish sauce
salt
pepper
bagoong
for added flavor I used the Kare Kare mix

Since its Chicken cooking time is much more faster

1. Infuse the atsuete seeds in hot oil. warm the oil first then pour into atsuete seeds instead of putting the seeds into the pan with hot oil and open flame. leave for a few minutes

2. use a little bit of infused oil to saute ginger/onion/garlic then the chicken... cook it well and don't burn the chicken.

3. on a different pot, add remaining infused oil, then add more garlic and peanut butter the entire bottle or according to your liking.

4. add water to the sauce (I used the water i used to wash the rice) so the sauce will be thick because of the rice. then add diluted chicken cubes and fish-sauce salt and pepper to taste.

5. I only used veggies that we actually will eat so I just used pechay and Sitaw. I added the sitaw on the sauce pan first then I added the chicken and last the pechay.

serve with bagoong, I like my bagoong sweet and a bit salty.
